About the Show
Art in the Sawmill began in 2011 with a simple idea: four local painters from the Verona area decided to host an annual show in the old sawmill. The rustic, historic setting provided a unique and historical backdrop. As the years passed, the event’s reputation grew, and more local artists and artisans from across Frontenac County became involved. This expansion brought a rich variety of art forms to the show, including pottery, woodworking, jewelry, and textiles, transforming the event into a true celebration of local creativity.
We are proud to host over 30 talented local artists and artisans, with two eagerly anticipated shows each year: a lively summer show and a festive Christmas show. The event remains true to its roots, celebrating the close-knit spirit of our artistic community while welcoming visitors to discover the incredible talent that thrives in our region. Our mission is simple: to bring art, people, and history together in the unique, unforgettable setting of the old sawmill.
